The River Wandle

On the subject of environmental success stories through hard work and awareness none has been more so than the river Wandle and the 'trout in the classroom' project.

Unfortunately as you may be aware the river has recently suffered a catastrophic fish kill through a pollution incident not just involving one of the main partners, but equally a large utilities company.

It is very sad that in the UK it is cheaper to pollute and possibly get caught, possibly face prosecution than it is to have chemicals processed . . . lots more work to be done . . . watch this space.
